Referral Routes

The way to get help from Right to Write depends on your situation. Please click on the links for a more in-depth description of how to be referred.

Referral as an Employer

Please contact the main office initially and get a quote, then if you wish to proceed send a written request with all the contact details of the organisation and the client with any supporting documentation that you have.

Referral From Jobcentre Plus

Access to Work, as we are an approved provider we can supply assessments. You need to use a request for an access to work assessment and fax or email it through to our main office.

Work Preparation Dyslexia Assessments: Requested by DEA (West Midlands only until end June 2004) using a DP206 - approved by DEA's line manager - posted to Right to Write Head Office.

Referral As A Job Centre Plus Training Provider

Work Preparation with other Provider: Requested by DEA (West Midlands only) WP delivered in conjunction with other mainstream provision, i.e.: New Deal or Work Based Learning. DP206 used for referral by DEA - Approved by DEA's line manager.

Assessments (Additional Support Fund): For clients who are on another mainstream provision (ND or WBLA option). This funding can be accessed for Diagnostic Assessment - provider to apply using the AS2 form forwarded to the Jobcentre Plus District (DPQM) for approval. Once approval is given, a copy of the AS2 form is forwarded (like a purchase order to Right to Write).

Specialist Programme Support (Additional Support Fund): For clients who are on another mainstream provision (ND or WBLA option). This funding can be accessed for Dyslexia Programme Support - provider to apply using the AS2 form forwarded to the Jobcentre Plus District (DPQM) for approval. Once approval is given, a copy of the AS2 form is forwarded (like a purchase order to Right to Write).

Self Referral

Unemployed: Request a referral for specialist dyslexia support from the Disability Employment Adviser (DEA) at your local Jobcentre Plus office. The referral process for the DEA is shown above.

Employed: If you have not been diagnosed as having dyslexia, ask your employer to request a Full Assessment from Right to Write. Any recommended training or assistive technology may be reclaimed through Access to Work (for financial assistance, application to ATW must be made prior to purchasing training or equipment). Contact your local Access to Work Centre for assistance in the application process.
